NetMagix™ HQ HomeServer Announced from Velocity Micro

Richmond, VA — November 5, 2007 — Velocity Micro, the premier independent builder of high performance PCs and workstations, announced today the launch of its cutting-edge new NetMagix™ HQ HomeServer. Powered by Microsoft®'s Windows® Home Server operating system, the NetMagix™ HQ will totally transform home networking by providing one stable and expandable source for protecting, organizing and sharing digital content.

"Windows® HomeServer is an amazing new product and we are very excited to feature this in our lineup of award winning PCs," Randy Copeland, President and CEO of Velocity Micro said. "The full integration of the PC into the home is something we've been striving towards for a long time. Windows® HomeServer and our new NetMagix™ HQ have brought us to the point where we can offer this to our customers."

The NetMagix™ HQ is similar to a corporate server in terms of functionality and storage. It offers enthusiasts and mainstream users who own multiple PCs the ability to keep all of their files stored and organized in a central location, like a media hub. By keeping music, video, and pictures in one place, users can access their files via a device on their home network or share them with friends and family via a personalized web address. Automatic daily file backups on the network, folder duplications, and restore point snapshots mean that not only are files safe, but that lost data due to hard drive crashes will be a thing of the past.

NetMagix™ HQ utilizes up to four terabytes of storage in a sleek and appealing compact case with vertical and horizontal mounting options that allow users to keep it virtually anywhere in the house (from the living room to the study to the kitchen). It sets up quickly and features design innovations like tool-less hard drive mountings that make storage and other upgrades a snap. "The HomeServer carries a big punch in a small package," said Ben Smelley, Velocity Micro Manager of Product Development. "It provides what both mainstream and enthusiast users look for-power, performance, and upgradeability."

"With Windows® Home Server, Microsoft® and its partners are establishing a new category of product for the home," said Steven VanRoekel, director of Windows® Server Solutions at Microsoft®. "The NetMagix™ HQ Home Server will help our mutual customers keep their digital memories and experiences safe, and to more easily enjoy them with friends and family."

The NetMagix™ HQ HomeServer will complement Velocity Micro's expansive product lines of ultra performance technology, which include high performance gaming rigs, home theater PCs, notebooks, and workstations. The NetMagix™ HQ and other HomeServer-based products will be available for sale direct to consumers on November 5, 2007, in configurations starting at $999. For more information, please visit
