1. Software causes - Occur after windows load
   1. With one application: troubleshoot the program with the program publisher
   2. With multiple applications: bad driver versus bad hardware
      1. Update Chipset driver, Uninstall then Install latest video driver
      2. If 1 does not resolve the issue, replace the card
2. Hardware causes
   1. Prior to Windows Load – replace the card
   2. Overclocking of GPU (can take weeks or months to show up)
   3. Overheating of GPU (possible fan failure)
   4. Video RAM failure
   5. PCI-e slot failure
