Many of our newer laptops have RGB keyboards that can be controlled by a preinstalled program called “Control Center”. You can access it by opening the Start Menu and typing “Control Center” and pressing enter. Control Center will look slightly different across different models of laptops, but for the most part have the same features. The most common version, version 2.0, has a very futuristic design. It shows things like fan speeds, CPU and memory temperatures and voltages, and has several submenus for things like custom keyboard shortcuts and the RGB effects. To change the RGB lighting, choose “LED Device” from the options in the upper left of the window. Here, you can change the colors of individual keys as well as the brightness of the keyboard. There is a large color wheel in the lower center of the screen, with small tabs around it that represent the different transition effects such as wave, rainbow, pulse, etc. Once you have picked the transition effect you like, simply close Control Center and continue using the laptop as normal.
