Why does this Creative Registration reminder run on each startup?

If you install software from a Creative CD, for the Creative Sound Blaster cards for instance, the Creative Registration nag screen may run on every system startup to remind you to register, even if you have registered.

This obvious programming flaw can become quite annoying. For this reason, we do not install Creative software on our systems from the accompanying CDs.

To resolve the issue, click the Start button, (XP users click Run), and type in REGEDIT and press Enter. When the Registry Editor opens, click Find on the Edit menu and type in CTREGRUN.EXE. Once yo have found the key in the folder named RUN, select the key and delete it. Restart your system to show the issue is resolved.
