Why does my PC restart every hour?

An issue has been reported by many of our customers who have the Intel DP35DP, DG33BU, DG33FB, and DG33TL motherboards.

Behavior generally includes a spontaneous restart, then after an hour as if by timer, it occurs again. This behavior continues for some time, then mysteriously disappears perhaps for weeks at a time, then returns again just as mysteriously.

This behavior appears to be resolved by a BIOS update. Below is a link to the executable that will update the BIOS of affected users. It can be run while in Windows so it is very easy to use. Just download, run, and when complete, restart your PC.

Updates Intel DP35DP, DG33BU, DG33FB, DG33TL to version 0437.

NOTE: Do not allow the flashing process to be interrupted. Based on your system configuration, you may need to enter the BIOS on first boot to disable onboard audio, enable RAID support, or change boot order per your preferences.
