I have Vista 32-bit, can I trade to the 64-bit version?

Retail Vista software licenses are valid for installing either bit-version of the Vista OS and the accompanying DVD contains both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. If you purchased a retail version of Vista, then you can switch to 64-bit with the retail DVD.

Velocity Micro's OEM Vista software licenses are valid for installing only one bit-version of the OS and the accompanying DVD contains either the 32-bit or the 64-bit versions, but not both. If you purchased your Velocity Micro system with the the OEM version of Vista 32-bit, and now want to upgrade to 64-bit, you would have to purchase at full price a license for the 64-bit version. Licensed OS software, whether 32-bit or 64-bit, can only be sold with a new system or with the purchase of core component hardware.
