How do I use the System Restore DVD that came with my Windows XP system?

Insert your System Restore DVD into your top-most DVD drive and boot your computer. If prompted, press any key to boot from the DVD.

When prompted, press the space bar to continue. The restore program will load.

Select ATAPI, then the first CD-ROM drive (usually Lite-On)

Select BIOS HD, then select the first partition, MBR, that corresponds to the primary hard drive in your system

Note: Raid 0 drives appear as a single physical drive. Do not validate the image as this will make the process unnecessarily longer. The re-imaging process will start and take about 45 to 60 minutes to complete.

When complete, remove the disk and restart your system.
