I think my Hitachi hard drive has a problem, how can I test it?

Below is the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test Users Guide. You may want to peruse this prior to beginning the tests, specifically pages 8, 11, 17 & 18 as they have screenshot images that you will see when you run the diagnostic.

This utility facilitates the creation of a bootable Hitachi hard drive diagnostic CD. The ISO CD image is downloadable from Hitachi’s site, but we made this utility that writes the image to disk to make things easier for our customers.
