We wanted to spotlight a recent build featuring all 16 of its cores in the Raptor Signature Edition. Running 32 threads and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DuMiYGvJGek\">utilizing AMD\u2019s 3D cache technology<\/a>, the processor is absolutely no slouch, which proved true during testing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocitymicro.com\/img\/blog\/7950X3d\/desktop.jpg\" alt=\"Velocity Micro Raptor Signature Edition\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" \/><br \/>\nOur test subject today is a beast of a machine, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kingston Fury RGB DDR5 RAM (32GB)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2TB Samsung 990 PRO 2 SSD<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Custom AIO Watercooling, 360mm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GeForce RTX 4090<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocitymicro.com\/img\/blog\/7950X3d\/cinebench1.jpg\" alt=\"Ryzen 7950X3D performance in Cinebench\" width=\"1920\" height=\"971\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The star of the show today, of course, is our proc. The 7950X3D took on Cinebench swinging, giving us a score of just under 36,000. This well exceeds the likes of some AMD Threadripper and even Intel Xeon chips. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oL0tn4rB-Fo&amp;t=185s\">It does come behind the 13th gen i9,<\/a> however this comes at a clear <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">difference in core count (the i9 sports a whopping 24 cores), and our testing for both processors being multithreaded, giving team blue a bit of an unfair advantage. But, The score per core goes without a doubt to the X3D, clocking in an impressive 2250.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019d give a big recommendation of this processor to those who are running programs (or games!) that demand a lot of L3 cache, or stress single cores.
