PC-industry veterans defect to fast-growing PC maker. Will drive continued new-product innovation in gaming, multimedia, business, and home PC lines.
Richmond, VA – August 10, 2006 – Two seasoned PC specialists have signed with fast-growing Velocity Micro to augment its award-winning product development team, the company announced today. Christopher Morley, formerly with HardOCP, comes on board as Velocity Micro’s Director of Product Development. Ignacio Castillo left his post at Alienware to become Velocity Micro’s Senior Development Engineer. The new additions allow the custom PC maker to dedicate even more resources to developing the most innovative products on the market.

Prior to joining Velocity Micro, Morley served as Managing Editor of the Consumer Division at HardOCP, a Web property that caters to enthusiast PC users. He also worked at BOXX Technologies and founded PCFX Technologies, a maker of custom high-end gaming systems.
Castillo joined Velocity Micro from Alienware, where he was a Product Development Engineer. At Alienware, Castillo worked extensively in production and product development, contributing to innovative technology that was introduced into consumer systems.
At Velocity Micro, Morley and Castillo will be responsible for evaluating emerging PC technologies and developing new product innovations that incorporate the best-of-breed advancements.
